Becoming a social worker takes more than just a degree; it takes a special kind of personality. You need to be a passionate, caring person to be a social worker, and be able to perform an extensive variety of diverse job duties, all aimed at helping those less fortunate cope with their daily lives, and to help solve problems that they might be facing. Getting a PhD in a related field will also help boost your resume and can make you a good candidate for employment in this field.
